Transfers and Groceries

The base can arrange transfers from your arrival point to the base and can also do your food and drink shopping to stock up your boat
before you arrive. A link to the order forms will
be sent following your final payment for the boating holiday.

Base Opening Hours

Monday to Sunday: 09:00 to 12:30, 14:00 to 17:30

Late Arrivals

If you are going to be arriving at the base late, you will need to inform the base directly or the general sales office where you booked. When you arrive at the base there will be a note on the reception door informing you where your boat is. The boat will be left open with the lights on for you to stay on board that night. The base staff will do the full briefing the following morning.

Marche U is a 5 minute walk from the base which is open from 7:00 to 20:00 everyday and in the mornings on Sundays.

Market Day

An excellent undercover market is held in the town centre every morning throughout the year between 08:30 to 12:30.

Fishing

Fishing is allowed on the canal throughout the season and a license is needed. It is possible to purchase a holiday license from June to September and can be brought from a shop
close to the base.

By Road:

Follow the direction Gare. When you arrive opposite the railway station turn left, follow along until the canal and turn right just before going over it onto Quai d'Alsace. The office is 200m further on, on the right just after the footbridge.

Follow the direction Centre Ville. When you are in the center at the roundabout with a fountain, turn left towards Beziers, follow along until you go past the new Mediathèque and the old concrete building then turn left following the sign for Quai D'Alsace. Go straight on for 300m and turn right just before going over the canal. The office is 200 m further on the right just after the footbridge.

From Calais take A26 Auto route to Reims, then A4 to Chalon sur Marne, then A26 to Troyes, then A5 to Langres, then A31 to Beaune, then A6 to Lyon, then A7 to Orange then A9 to Narbonne. Leave Autoroute at junction Narbonne Est. Head for 'Centre Ville' and 'Gare' (railway station). Opposite the station turn left, follow along 300mtrs and turn right just before crossing the canal (Quai d'Alsace is signposted) Go straight on under Railway Bridge onto quai d'Alsace. Connoisseur is on your right. Road distance approximately 1100 kms 11hrs.
