Castelnaudary Base

The construction of the Canal du Midi made many changes to the landscape of the town, with mills and buildings sprouting out of the landscape. The Canal heralded a time of unprecedented development, and Castelnaudary grew in accordance. Now home to over 12,000 inhabitants, the town is the capital of Cassoulet - a rich stew made from local ingredients of white beans, pork, goose, duck and sausages.

Transfers and Groceries

The base can arrange transfers from your arrival point to the base and can also do your food and drink shopping to stock up your boat before you arrive. A link to the order forms will be sent following your final payment for the boating holiday.

Base Opening Hours

Monday to Saturday: 08:30 to 12:00, 14:00 to 18:00.
Sundays: Closed

Late Arrivals

If you are going to be arriving at the base late, you will need to inform the base directly or the general sales office where you booked. When you arrive at the base there will be a note on the reception door informing you where your boat is. The boat will be left open with the lights on for you to stay on board that night. The base staff will do the full briefing the following morning.
