Chatillon-sur-Loire Base
Chatillon sur Loire, 150km from Paris, 7km from Briare. Its name originates in the "Castillo", a small fortress which was built in the 10th century on the hill where the church now stands. Throughout the middle ages, Chatillon sur Loire was fought over by the Abbey of Fleury and the courts of Sancerre. With its strong protestant dominance, the town was attacked and besieged seven times in the 16th century..

Late Arrivals
If you are going to be arriving at the base late, you will need to inform the base directly or the general sales office where you booked. When you arrive at the base there will be a note on the reception door informing you where your boat is. The boat will be left open with the lights on for you to stay on board that night. The base staff will do the full briefing the following morning.
